The
Infernos Band has many talented musicians and singers within
its ranks. A major contributor to the group's success is the
diversity of style and music which they successfully present
to the public. Night after night audiences are consistently
wowed as the first familiar chords are struck for the old Sinatra
classic "All The Way." The lights are dimmed and
a voice rises throughout the room that has such presence, such
distinction, that everyone stops and takes a breath. It is
during this brief moment that Sinatra lives again and pictures
of a time gone by fill the room. Everyone stops talking and
turns their attention toward the stage to see the phenomenon.
Vince Torrell brings them back to a time when everything in
life seemed to be full of hope and promise.
Vince
started his vocal career at age 17 singing in The Gregory Club
in Garfield, New Jersey and other local establishments with
keyboardist Jimmy Sabini. Sounding more like a young Bobby
Darrin in those days, he soon was bitten by the Sinatra bug
and began to read and study Old Blue Eyes. He worked diligently
to master Sinatra's every style and vocal mannerism. Before
long the magic began to unfold as Vinny was able to capture
the essence of one of the world's greatest singers. This unique
talent launched what would be a long and distinguished career.
Now after more than 25 years with Bobby Wells and The Infernos,
Vince is finally getting the recognition he so richly deserves.
Bobby
Wells and Kenny Simmons are currently writing new material
for Vince Torrell’s long awaited album containing big
band arrangements by the Nelson Riddle, Sammy Cohn, Count Basie,
and the Infernos own Michael Lamparello. We look forward not
only to a successful and rewarding session but also to introducing
a whole new audience to The Sounds of Sinatra and Vince Torrell. |
