Mission Accomplished: Infernos help earthquake hit L’Aquila, Italy

On April 6th 2009, a 6.3 magnitude earthquake struck the small town of L’Aquila, Italy, leaving more than 60,000 people homeless and many others injured. 308 people died from the earthquake and it left the city completely destroyed.

In November of 2010, The Infernos Band traveled to Italy to perform a series of concerts in Rome and in L’Aquila. Their goal was to raise money to purchase a mobile command post, which the police and people of L’Aquila could use as a temporary city hall to facilitate the reconstruction and rebuilding effort.

The mission was accomplished thanks to the Infernos bringing awareness to The Columbus Citizens Foundation and having them donate $120,000.00 to have a mobile command center built and delivered.
