The Millennium Project
Although the year 2001 will go down in history as one of our most devastating years we've ever had to face as a nation, through it all, our patriotism and our ability to pull together in the worst of times has shined through. We are proud as both entertainers and Americans to have taken part in some of the ceremonies surrounding the September 11th tragedy. We have played for the Men and Women of the NYC Police and Fire Departments as well as for The State Police of New Jersey and their families who were also involved in the rescue efforts. We are truly grateful for the opportunity to bring a little happiness into their lives. As we stand by them in their time of need and comfort, we can never say enough about their truly heroic efforts and deeds. God Bless America!

Gotta Get This Groove On
New Time - New Year - New Sound! As the ever-changing and always exciting Infernos, we are trying to strike gold with our latest hit, "Gotta Get This Groove On". Hot, pumping and funky are three words that describe this song. We are truly expecting great things from the release of this hit as it soars over the airwaves and across the dance floors of the nation. The chart-buster was written by the newest addition to The Infernos, Kenny Simmons (former member of the three-time Grammy Award Winning group "The Commodores") and his long-time friend, producer Troy Randall. They both wanted to produce a song that made you want to get up and dance. So in the tradition of such groups as "C&C Music Factory" and famed dance hit group "Black Box", they have achieved their goal with this ground-breaking rhythmic masterpiece.

Gotta Get This Groove On

It only took Bobby Wells and Kenny Simmons 30 minutes to write the arrangement for "When You’re At The Top, Then You're At The Trop". By the end of that 30 minutes Bobby was teaching Vince Torell the melody over the phone Only Vince Torell could have brought the song to life with his Sinatra-like phrasings and his vocal understanding of the Big Band sound.

On the day of the recording, The Infernos encountered some directional problems with the tune. We felt it wasn't lively enough and we were all starting to get a little frustrated. But Bobby Wells stepped in along with Infernos' musical director Joe Sasso and identified the song's problem spots. They turned to horn arranger Mike Lamparello and he came up with a hot and bouncy solution.

We are all very happy with the results and hope this is the beginning of a long line of commercials, movie soundtracks and television scores for the band.
